Horse Riding

You will ascend this mythical mountain at the speed of a horse and soon admire a breathtaking 360-degree view. You’ll ride through the forest, away from beaten paths, and have the chance to see deer up close, thanks to the bond that has developed between your horse and these wild animals over the years.

You will also have the opportunity to ride a horse on the white sand and through the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, creating unforgettable memories.

Initiation

Equestrian initiation at the Haras du Morne is the foundation of all activities offered to individuals with little or no riding experience. This introduction takes place in the quarry, a large, secure area at the entrance to the stud farm. An equestrian instructor is on hand at all times to guide and supervise. All necessary equipment is provided.

A walk on the beach

Immersing yourself in this wild corner of the island is another way to enjoy a ride on the beach. Your horse will guide you between the filaos, breathing in the invigorating salt air as you go, and you’ll be able to choose between kitesurfers, large hotels with their singular architecture or the vast blue expanse of the sea.

Sunset stroll

This is the same horseback excursion as the one on the beach, but this time at sunset, offering the opportunity to capture some exceptional photos.

Mountain ride for more experienced riders and pony ride for children under the age of 12 years old are also available.

Tailor made activities are available upon request such as photoshoot, wedding, wedding proposals, horse-drawn carriage…
